Elliott Aviation to Display Garmin G5000 Equipped Citation Excel at NBAA 2019 Annual Convention

    Elliott Aviation has announced they will bring a Garmin G5000 equipped Citation Excel to the indoor static display at the 2019 NBAA annual convention Oct. 22-24 in Las Vegas, NV. The aircraft is one of the first dealer-installed Garmin G5000 retrofits in a Citation Excel/XLS. This Citation Excel is also equipped with Prizm cabin multi-color LED lighting, and Smart Vision Shades, electronically dimmable window shades from Elliott Technologies. It also has new paint and interior from Elliott Aviation. The aircraft will be on display in the Las Vegas Convention Center at booth IS14.

    The Garmin G5000 retrofit for the Citation Excel and XLS replaces all existing Honeywell Primus 1000 avionics, including the autopilot and flight director. The retrofit has WAAS/LPV, ADS-B, XM weather, electronic charts, SafeTaxi, engine monitor data, and emergency descent mode. It also has optional synthetic vision, turbulence detection, SurfaceWatch, underspeed protection, Chartview, CPDLC, and lightning and hail prediction.

    Prizm cabin lighting, by Elliott Technologies, is full color spectrum lighting that is controlled either through a mobile app or existing cabin controls. It can replace existing cabin up wash, down wash, lower accent, galley, lavatory, and cupholder lighting. It is scalable and able to be installed in most turbine business aircraft.

    Smart Vision Shades, by Elliott Technologies, are electronically dimmable inner window panes. They feature individual variable control at each window and are 99% UV blocking. As with Prizm lighting, they are also scalable and able to be installed in most turbine business aircraft.
