EaglePicher’s LP33333 battery, utilized on the Global Hawk unmanned aircraft system, is comprised of three 24 V, 55 Ah lithium-ion batteries, consisting of EaglePicher proprietary prismatic cell technology, and incorporating battery management system electronics. This battery solution was lighter, smaller and provided more power than the original nickel-cadmium solutions utilized by the aircraft.
