Gulfstream Appoints Troy Miller Regional Vice President of Military and Special Mission Sales
SAVANNAH, Ga., November 22, 2011 — Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. has named Troy Miller as its regional vice president, Military and Special Mission Sales. Miller, who is based in Gulfstream’s Washington, D.C., office, reports to Buddy Sams, senior vice president, Government Programs and Sales.
Miller is responsible for directing Gulfstream’s U.S. military, worldwide military and government sales. He serves as the focal point for all international government and industry special missions contacts and officials.
“Troy has a wealth of experience with Gulfstream aircraft and possesses a thorough understanding of our U.S. military and international government customers,” said Sams. “He is a key addition to our Washington operations.”
Most recently, Miller spent 10 years as a Gulfstream V pilot for Corporate Jets, an aircraft charter, management and sales company based in Van Nuys, Calif. Prior to his commercial flying position, he had a 20-year career in the U.S. Air Force.
In the Air Force, Miller flew congressional leaders and foreign heads of state around the world, and was the lead pilot during much of the design, testing and entry-into-service of the Air Force’s version of the GV, the C-37.
Miller earned a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in computer science from the U.S. Air Force Academy and The George Washington University, respectively.
