Donald R. Spriggs Appointed Vice President of Quality and Technology for PAS Technologies
Kansas City, Mo. – July 27, 2012 – PAS Technologies Inc. announces that Donald R. Spriggs has been appointed Vice President of Quality and Technology effective July 8, 2012. He reports to Thomas C. Hutton, PAS Technologies’ Chief Executive Officer.
In his new role, Spriggs will lead the Company’s activities associated with Quality Assurance and Process Improvement to continually enhance the quality management systems across the enterprise through proactive process discipline and data analysis using the Company’s Performance eXcellence Program™ (PXP). In technology, Spriggs will be the functional lead for technical collaboration efforts across the Company. He will serve as the corporate focal point for technical guidance on strategic technology-related projects in the evolving business and product development opportunities of PAS Technologies.
Spriggs joined the company in 1996 with Praxair Surface Technologies as Business Unit Manager of New Product Development. Since the inception of what is now PAS Technologies in 2006, he served as Vice President Product Development, a position he held until 2009 when he was named Chief Technology Officer.
Spriggs has more than 30 years of leadership in Operations and Engineering with extensive, prior experience of Product and Business Development, Lean, Six-Sigma, and Quality Assurance. His previous work experience in the aircraft engine industry includes two of the world’s leading Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and two of the first tier supplier organizations to the global aviation industry, as well as independent consulting within the aviation and power generation industries. He has received in his own name or as co-inventor six U.S. patents. He has authored and compiled various publications and conference presentations. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester and a Master of Science degree in Engineering Science (Metallurgy) from Rensselear Polytechnic Institute.
