Woodward Announces Its Role in Snecma Silvercrest Engine Program
Fort Collins, Colo., October 24, 2013 — Woodward, Inc. (NASDAQ:WWD) today announced that it will supply a suite of components – integrated fuel pump and metering unit, variable stator vane actuator and variable bleed valve actuator – for the Snecma Silvercrest engine program. Under its agreement with Snecma (a company of the Safran Group), Woodward is responsible for design, certification and production.
The Silvercrest is the new-generation business jet engine from Snecma. The engine has been selected by:
• Dassault Aviation, for its Falcon 5X aircraft, and
• Cessna Aircraft Company, for its Citation Longitude aircraft
