Heli-One Enhances Website with Innovative Search Feature For Component Exchange and Surplus Inventory
DELTA, BRITISH COLUMBIA - -(Marketwired - Dec. 3, 2013) - Helicopter operators looking for aircraft components - ranging from an overhauled engine to a gearbox to a grommet - now need only to visit the website of world's largest non-manufacturer helicopter-support company, www.heli-one.ca.
Heli-One has enhanced its website so customers can go to its helicopter Exchange Parts Inventory Channel (EPIC) pages. The unique new EPIC feature enables customers to do more by connecting them to either of two searchable databases: Heli-One's exchange component pool database (www.heli-one.ca/exchanges), or its surplus parts inventory database (www.heli-one.ca/surplus) of almost 1,900 items.
Once logged in to one of the two databases, customers can easily browse inventory, search for specific exchange components or parts, check availability and status, submit orders by e-mail, or request more information from a customer-service representative.
Customers are able to browse and search EPIC by part number or keyword, and also quickly determine quantity, condition and location. Parts purchased from the EPIC inventory will be shipped using Heli-One's comprehensive global network.
"Whether a customer needs an expertly overhauled engine or rapid, cost-effective delivery of minor components in volume, this EPIC capability provides a convenient service from a trusted, reliable and specialized global resource," said Jeff Manion, Heli-One's vice president of Sales, Marketing Support and Global Networks.
"The power and practicality help customers reduce downtime and operating costs, and maximize safety," Mr. Manion said.
The new EPIC exchange component pool database encompasses Heli-One's larger components, such as engines, gearboxes and tail-rotor blade assemblies. The feature provides customers with downloadable data-sheets and photos for each component. Also, the database includes component age, overhaul or repair status, and expected availability date.
"Exchanging an existing unit with a Heli-One repaired or overhauled unit allows operators to benefit from dynamic components that have been expertly serviced," Mr. Manion said.
Aircraft types supported in the EPIC inventory include:
-- Agusta 139
-- Eurocopter AS350/EC130
-- Eurocopter AS332/EC225
-- Eurocopter 315
-- Eurocopter AS365
-- Bell 212/412
-- Sikorsky S-61
-- Sikorsky S-76
