Chemetall, a leading global surface treatment company, has been awarded the highest supplier honor in the Airbus “Materials & Parts SQIP” (Supply Chain & Quality Improvement) program. Until today only four out of 48 strategic Airbus companies have achieved this ‘accredited supplier’ status. “It is a great honor for our company to receive again this prestigious Airbus quality award”, says Chemetall’s Global Aerospace Manager Hendrik Becker during the SQIP Day ceremony and adds “Sustainability is one of Chemetall’s core values and Airbus can be assured that the entire Chemetall team will do its very best to continue our efforts striving for excellence.”
The award ‘accredited supplier’ verifies Chemetall’s best-in-class performance. It honors the continuous commitment to provide top quality products and excellent delivery performance including on-time deliveries, production capacities, and efficient processes. Last year Chemetall already received the Golden Award in the category Best Performer, the second highest quality award of the Airbus SQIP program. The SQIP program has the goal to develop the most strategic suppliers of Airbus towards industrial excellence with regard to its on-time and quality targets.
For 25 years, Chemetall and Airbus have established a long and excellent business relationship. As a preferred supplier of Airbus, the global surface treatment company offers advanced technologies, which fulfill the highest aerospace specifications. From its production plant in Langelsheim, Germany, and its French production site in Soissons, Chemetall supplies a wide range of aircraft sealants, corrosion inhibiting compounds, cleaners, paints strippers and other pretreatment technologies to various Airbus sites in Europe.
