Airforms had previously been granted approval of a Global AMOC for their FAA Approved baffles for the PA31-325/-350, which terminated the 50 hour baffle seal inspection requirement on those aircraft.

WASILLA, ALASKA, 22-May-17 – Airforms, Inc. announced today that they have been granted FAA Approval of a Global Alternative Method Of Compliance (AMOC) to paragraph (b)(1) and (b)(2) of AD 93-23-13. Airforms demonstrated that installation of their FAA PMA Approved baffle assemblies or their silicone seal kits on PA31(-310) aircraft provide an equivalent level of safety as the AD mandated seals.

“This FAA approval terminates the 50 hour inspection requirement of the baffle seals in accordance with section (c)(2) of the AD, providing relief to PA31 operators and lowering their maintenance costs,” said Steve Hunter, Airforms Sales and Marketing Executive. “Moving forward, we will continue to seek ways to make general aviation more affordable by providing products that cut maintenance costs and provide value to aircraft owners everywhere.”
