Tamarack Aerospace Expands European Active Winglet Installation Network
Tamarack Aerospace Group announced today that it has approved three new maintenance providers in Europe as authorized installers of its ATLAS ® Active Winglets for the Cessna Citation business jet line.
The new authorized installers are:
- Signature TechnicAir in Bournemouth, United Kingdom
- Atlas Air, AG in Bremen, Germany
- Prince Aviation in Belgrade, Serbia
Brian Cox, President of Tamarack Aerospace, said “It’s exciting that customers can now bring their aircraft to these world-class maintainers for their Active Winglet upgrade. We’ve had many international customers fly their aircraft to our Sandpoint, ID factory for their ATLAS installation, but our new international dealer network of CitationJet experts is just so much more convenient and cost-effective. These are facilities that can combine an Active Winglet upgrade with avionics or engine work, which saves aircraft downtime and travel cost, so this is a win-win for our European customers.”
The operational benefits that owners will see with an Active Winglet equipped aircraft are:
- Increased range.
- Maximum Zero Fuel Weight increase.
- Reduced time to climb to cruise altitude.
- Increased climb gradients.
- Improved single-engine climb performance.
- Ride smoothing and stability.
- Upgraded LED navigation & anti-collision lighting.
Tamarack Active Winglets are the only aerodynamic technology on the market today that can reduce time to climb and fuel burn, while increasing range and aircraft stability, without any structural reinforcement, yielding significant time and cost savings. Tamarack Active Winglets are approved via EASA, FAA, ANAC and Transport Canada Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for installation on the Cessna CJ, CJ1, CJ1+, M2, CJ2, CJ2+, CJ3 and CJ3+ business jets.
About Tamarack Aerospace:
Idaho based Tamarack Aerospace Group Inc. invented and patented the revolutionary Active Winglet system. Tamarack’s certified Active Winglets are three to four times more efficient than passive (traditional) winglets. The Active Winglet system typically provides a reduction in fuel burn, performance gains and increased asset value. The Active Winglet system is comprised of a wing tip extension, a highly tuned winglet, and load alleviation technology. The load alleviation system counteracts gust or maneuver wing loading events and eliminates the heavy wing reinforcement and structural additions required by all passive winglets.
Tamarack Aerospace will be exhibiting at the upcoming Farnborough International Airshow 2018 in Hall 2 Pavilion 2186.
