The Husky tailspring is now available from Aircraft Spruce. The three-leaf tailspring, mounting bracket & hardware is all included in one kit. This is a direct replacement for all of Sky International (Aviat Husky) tailsprings, and it is eligible on all Husky aircraft (the A1, A1-A, A1-B and the new A1-C). When a tailspring is 'sprung' or of poor design, it puts the camber angle of the tailwheel into a negative position. This causes the tailwheel to shimmy and to be hard to steer which increases the wear. A new tailspring eliminates the negative position of the tailwheel and the wear caused from a weak tailspring.
