EASA STC for Aviat A-1 Husky with the 3-blade MT-Propeller MTV-9

MT-Propeller Entwicklung GmbH has received the EASA STC 10061476 for the 3-blade scimitar composite propeller MTV-9-B/200-52 on the Aviat A-1 Husky. This installation is already supplemental type certified by FAA No. SA02870CH (Owned by FlIGHT RESOURCE).
MT-Propeller President Gerd Muehlbauer says, that the installation feature the following advantages:
- Shorter take-off distance by approx. -10 % (SL, ISA conditions).
- Enhanced climb performance by approx. 3% (SL, ISA conditions.
- Enhanced cruise performance by 3 kts (MTOW, ISA conditions).
- Very smooth cruising – no speed penalty.
- No restricted rpm range.
The MT-Propeller natural composite blades have no life limitation,and are repairable in case of an FOD. They also provide best vibration damping characteristics for almost vibration free propeller operation and have bonded on stainless steel leading edges for best erosion protection of the blades.
