The Platinum rating is awarded only to those air charter operators who have demonstrated a successful implementation of industry safety best practices relative to their operations and maintenance. The rating also recognizes Jet Edge as adhering to the same safety standards as commercial airlines.

New Repair Station at Van Nuys Airport for Bombardier, Cessna, and Hawker Aircraft
LOS ANGELES (August 2, 2012) - Western Jet Maintenance, LLC, a subsidiary of Western Air Charter, Inc. dba Jet Edge International, has been awarded a Federal Aviation Regulation (FAR) Part 145 Repair Station Certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration. The certificate was issued in July to the Western Jet Maintenance facility located at Van Nuys Airport in Van Nuys, Calif.
The new certificate will allow Western Jet Maintenance to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, repairs, and alterations on a number of aircraft models including: Bombardier Challenger 300; Learjet 31, 35, and 36; Cessna Citation X; and Hawker 750, 800XP and 900XP.
