Clay Lacy Aviation-Seattle to Expand Charter Operation at Boeing Field

Oct. 5, 2016

Gateway USA LLC, Clay Lacy Aviation LLC, (Clay Lacy Aviation-Seattle) has announced the expansion of charter operations at King County International Airport/Boeing Field (KBFI). The company has received its Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Part 135 Air Carrier certificate, paving the way for added charter aircraft offerings by the company.

It is a significant addition to the services Clay Lacy Aviation-Seattle provides for customers and tenants at KBFI. In addition to its next generation Quest Kodiak, a 9-seat turboprop, jets and other aircraft will be added as owners make their aircraft available for charter under Clay Lacy Aviation-Seattle’s Part 135 certificate.

Certificate holders must meet stringent FAA criteria: charter aircraft operating on a 135 certificate must be maintained to strict standards, and the certificate’s requirements are designed to hold pilots, aircraft and operations to the highest standards.

“Earning a Part 135 certificate is an involved and time-consuming process. We’re excited to expand our charter offerings and will focus on delivering the highest level of service for charter customers and aircraft owners,” said Clay Lacy Aviation-Seattle General Manager Chuck Kegley.

Kegley said the charter operation offers revenue-generating opportunities for corporate and private aircraft owners seeking to offset some of the fixed costs of aircraft ownership.
