Rectrix Announces Daily Shuttle Service Between Hyannis and Nantucket
Rectrix Aviation unveiled a new daily shuttle option for travelers flying between Cape Cod and Nantucket, Mass.
Rectrix Shuttle begins its new daily commuter air carrier service between Barnstable Municipal Airport (Hyannis) and the Nantucket Memorial Airport Oct. 20. This marks the first air carrier venture for Rectrix Aviation.
Rectrix Shuttle flights will occur on the airline's new Beech Super King Air B300. The twin turboprop aircraft has a capacity for 9 passengers, 2 pilots and a reputation for elegance, spacious interiors and safety, as well as quiet takeoffs and landings.
“We are thrilled passengers traveling between Hyannis and Nantucket will have another option for travel between the two airports. The service has always proved to be very popular for summer tourism on Cape Cod as well as Nantucket but also for those working on and living on the island,” says Barnstable Municipal Airport Manager Bud Breault, “Barnstable Municipal Airport is excited to offer this additional service for our passengers who depend on reliable service.”
Daily flights during the week will take off from Hyannis beginning at 6:00am. The last flight departing for Nantucket will be 5:40PM. Daily flights from Nantucket to Hyannis will begin at 6:50AM with their last flight to Hyannis leaving at 6:30 p.m. Weekends will also include added flights to accommodate passengers traveling between the two airports.
“We are very eager to begin this daily service between Hyannis and Nantucket which has always been a popular route. Our charter jet service has had an increasing following here in Hyannis and we think this new shuttle service is a terrific compliment to the services we already provide right here at Barnstable Municipal Airport,” says Richard Cawley, CEO, Rectrix Commercial Aviation Services Inc. “We’re encouraged by the support we’re receiving from the officials at both airports and look forward to a long relationship servicing this route.”
