APP Jet Center announced that construction is on schedule for a major expansion and renovation of APP Jet Center Hayward, its FBO at San Francisco-area Hayward Executive Airport (HWD). The project is expected to be complete in mid January.
APP intends with this development to alleviate hangar overcrowding and better serve its fast growing client base.
The $5 million project will include:
- Construction of a new 20,000-square-foot hangar (with 28-foot tall doors), increasing APP’s capacity to 86,000 square feet of hangar space at Hayward.
- Construction of a new 3,000-square-foot modern FBO passenger terminal offering snooze rooms, showers and the most modern facilities on the field.
- Renovation of APP’s adjacent 12,000-square-foot facility to which the new 20,000-square-foot hangar will be attached. This will provide a total of 32,000 square feet of contiguous modern hangar space.
- An open ramp for aircraft to access easily without congestion.
Design of the project, directed by Niche Interiors, a leading San Francisco interior design firm, will aesthetically reflect the style of Silicon Valley.
“This is a bold achievement for APP,” Chris Hambleton, vice president of APP Properties, Inc., said. “We are increasing our aircraft storage and client services while developing the most distinguished facility at Hayward Executive Airport. We have planned on this for many years and are very excited for our clients to share our enjoyment of this upscale, modern property.”
Tom Panico, general manager of APP Jet Center Hayward, added: “It’s an honor to offer this top-notch facility to our loyal clients and to our growing list of new clients as well.”
