Britannica Launches the Optimizer at WATS 2017
Britannica Knowledge Systems is launching a groundbreaking aviation scheduling optimization solution at the 20th World Aviation Training Conference and Tradeshow (WATS) in Orlando next week. This system, "the Optimizer," reduces training management costs through aviation industry-tailored hybrid algorithms and heuristics that achieve highest valid level of scheduling efficiency.
With the Optimizer, airlines can save 5-10 percent off total annual training costs by reducing wasted days (travel days), decreasing overtime, shortening course footprints, improving peak season staffing, and avoiding the use of external simulators.
"We developed the Optimizer because we realized that in complex environment of airline training scheduling, it is almost mission-impossible to produce a truly efficient training schedules," said Miki Ringelhim, VP business development at Britannica Knowledge Systems. "Through more effective scheduling, the Optimizer delivers each organization's ideal balance of economic value, compliance, training quality, and crew satisfaction."
