SAR Trilogy Management, LLC Announces Aero Center Spokane
SAR Trilogy Management, LLC (SAR-T) announces its third full-service fixed base operation (FBO) — Aero Center Spokane. The new FBO will be operational at Spokane International Airport (SIA) in the next 12 to 18 months.
The Spokane Airport Board approved a ground lease and concession agreement for the new FBO by Marathon FBO Partners GEG, LLC dba Aero Center Spokane, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SAR-T.
Aero Center Spokane will initially build a 5,200-square-foot FBO terminal connected to a 15,000-square-foot aircraft storage hangar and a separate 10,000-square-foot aircraft maintenance hangar on 1.86 acres of leased land located on West Pilot Drive. Under the agreement, Aero Center Spokane will also lease 82,488 sf. ft. of aircraft parking apron. The initial term of the lease is 25 years.
The customer-focused and locally managed FBO will provide a full spectrum of services — aircraft fueling, office/hangar rentals, line services, and maintenance support to the entire aviation community. In addition, Aero Center Spokane intends to partner with reputable local businesses to provide additional services — aircraft management and charter services, flight training, and aircraft sales.
“Spokane’s catchment area and economic activity at SIA drew us to the region. We believe the Aero Center’s customer-focused and full-service business model will be appealing to the entire SIA aviation community,” said Sanjay Aggarwal, managing director and co-founder of SAR-T.
Spokane Airport Board Chair Ezra Eckhardt stated, “We are pleased to welcome SAR Trilogy Management to Spokane International Airport and want to thank them for their commitment to invest in adding much-needed hangar space and offering additional services to support the growth of general and corporate aviation activity as our regional economy continues to expand at a considerable pace.”
Michael Scheeringa, managing director and co-founder of SAR-T, added, “The Aero Center Spokane will bring competition for these aviation services to the airport; and with a local focus, for management and partnerships, we are looking forward to growing with the community. The FBO will create almost two dozen new jobs at the airport.”
“Increasing services and hangar capacity at Spokane International Airport for general and corporate aviation users is an important factor in supporting economic growth in our region. Not all business and personal travel is carried out by scheduled passenger airlines. There is a significant market here for business and personal use of general aviation and corporate aviation aircraft. Working through private sector partners, like SAR-T, who share our vision, we want to ensure that world-class facilities and service are focused on this important segment of the aviation business in our community. We welcome SART-T to our community and appreciate their pending investment in the Aero Center at Spokane International Airport, said Larry Krauter, CEO of Spokane Airports.”
