Bent Wing Flight Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Nathan Coyle to the position of Executive Director and General Manager. Coyle comes to Bent Wing from the Georgia Department of Transportation, where he has served as Aviation Planning Manager since February 2023. In that role, Coyle led the statewide planning department in the oversight of all aviation planning functions for 103 public use airports within the State of Georgia.
Prior to that, Coyle served as the Airport Director at Fernandina Beach Municipal Airport (KFHB) from August 2017 until February 2023. It was during Coyle’s tenure that the current $4.5 million airport terminal facility was completed, for which the City was awarded the FDOT General Aviation Project of the Year for 2019. Coyle’s successes at KFHB included securing five new aeronautical commercial operators and increasing the airport’s operating revenue by 35%.
“Nathan Coyle has been a leader in the field of both civil and military aviation for more than 18 years,” said Brian Echard, owner of Bent Wing Flight Services. “His expertise is the perfect complement to our fixed base operations. Our mission has always been to improve the services and facilities of the airport, and Nate will be a key figure in our future growth. I am pleased Nate has joined the Bent Wing operations team and is returning to Fernandina Beach.”
Coyle will take over the position of General Manager from Tracine Anderson, who has been promoted to Vice President of Special Events and Projects. Anderson has more than 30 years’ experience in the FBO industry and joined Bent Wing as the General Manager less than a year after the company’s inception.
“Tracine has been an invaluable asset to Bent Wing,” says Echard. “She has played a key role in the FBO’s growth and remains an indispensable part of our operations team.”
As Vice President of Special Events and Projects, Anderson will oversee the FBO’s role in special events, including The Amelia Concours d’Elegance, The Hangar Amelia, organized aircraft group fly-ins, and oversee the management of Bent Wing’s newly constructed hangars.
