Reynolds Jet Announces New Chief Executive Officer

Since joining the company as President in 2021, Murray has overseen the day-to-day operations of the business.

Reynolds Jet is proud to announce the appointment of James Murray as Chief Executive Officer. 

Since joining the company as President in 2021, Murray has overseen the day-to-day operations of the business and has been instrumental in doubling Reynolds Jet’s fleet of managed aircraft, expanding its customer base and developing key verticals. During this time, he has worked closely with company founder J. Mercer Reynolds on developing strategies for optimizing the company’s potential for growth. Murray has since become a full equity partner in the business and recently assumed the position of CEO. Reynolds is transitioning to the role of Chairman where he will focus on broader strategic initiatives and additional revenue sources.

Murray has been a devout customer and operational excellence advocate in the private aviation industry since 2000, with demonstrable growth, innovation and leadership expertise. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Duke University – The Fuqua School of Business.  He is also a commercial pilot, holding type-ratings in the Cessna CJ series (CE525) and Bombardier Challenger 604 (CL604).
