February 2021 – As Qatar Airways grows its fleet of Airbus A350-1000 aircraft by three, ABM UK has been awarded a contract to provide cabin secure cleaning services at Heathrow Airport.
ABM, one of the UK’s leading providers of aviation services, recently began the contract, at a time when nurturing passenger confidence is critical to the recovery of the aviation industry. Now more than ever, airports need to partner with strong facilities services providers that have the resources and expertise to vet products and procedures, examine the science and results, and invest in the development and delivery of meaningful solutions.
Antony Marke, group managing director for ABM’s UK aviation business, says: “Qatar Airways is one of the few global airlines to have continued flying throughout the pandemic and we are focused on helping them build on this success.
“Ensuring passengers feel safe enough to fly again plays a major role in this and delivering clean airports and aircrafts is therefore essential.”
ABM offers a combination of a long-standing reputation for excellence in airport services and world-class facilities expertise which has been developed within the UK and globally throughout the company’s 112 year history.
In 2020, ABM established an Expert Advisory Council, which includes external leading experts in infectious disease and industrial hygiene to advise on many aspects of ABM UK’s business, including its proprietary EnhancedClean program.
The three-step EnhancedClean approach delivers healthy spaces with a certified disinfection process. It is designed to help clients return to their facilities safely and navigate change in a post COVID-19 world. It also delivers assurance to employees, customers and the public by demonstrating trustworthy cleaning and disinfection. The program includes consistent intervals of frequent high touch point and broad disinfection, delivered by certified team members.
