Web Manuals Announces Icelandair Ground Services as New Customer
Malmö, Sweden, Aug. 23, 2017: Web Manuals Sweden AB, a developer of digital documentation solutions for the aviation industry, is announcing a new partnership with Icelandair Ground Services, representing the company’s first venture into the ground services market.
Martin Lidgard, founder and CEO of Web Manuals, says: “We now work with more than 100 customers worldwide to digitize their operations manuals, so it is only natural that we move into new sectors of the aviation industry and our Web Manuals application can certainly cater for aviation companies on the ground. This is a huge opportunity for us to reach out to a new area of the market and continue our rapid growth.”
Icelandair Ground Services will initially be using Web Manuals’ authoring tool to provide a standardized digital design for layouts, fonts and tables in its operating manuals across its body of handling services, which includes catering, flight planning and private aircraft. A distribution process will also be included to ensure employees receive the new manuals promptly, allowing for access using the Web Manuals Reader app for iPad and Windows devices.
Andri Stefánsson, director security and quality, Icelandair Ground Services, says: “We have recently started the implementation phase and are undergoing a test run. It’s been a great process so far and we’re thrilled with all the support we’re receiving. The help desk is truly amazing and I’m looking forward to seeing how much time our teams will save once we’re up and running.”
Icelandair Ground Services is a part of the wider Icelandair Group and has been providing handling services at Keflavik International Airport, Iceland, for more than 50 years.
