Asia Airfreight Terminal (AAT) has won the prestigious “Ground Handler of the Year” award at the seventh edition of the Payload Asia Awards. This was announced in a digital award ceremony on Jan. 22 organized by air cargo industry publication Payload Asia.
The award recognizes the organizations that have maintained their excellence and resilience and kept the supply chain connected amidst a year of unprecedented challenges. Winners were shortlisted based on online voting by customers and business partners, as well as an independent international panel of industry experts who assessed operational performance, customer service, product innovation, and scope of service offerings, etc. It is AAT’s first time into the winner’s circle.
In accepting the award, Kuah Boon Kiam, general manager of AAT, paid tribute to the staff and service providers whose hard work and dedication contributed greatly to the win, “When faced with a tough operating environment brought on by a global pandemic, any business will need to rely on its people and service partners to deliver on customer expectations. Thankfully for AAT, our colleagues were more than ready to rise to the occasion.
