Groundforce Portugal Renews IATA Certification Until 2025
Groundforce Portugal is again certified by IATA – Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO), with the aim of guaranteeing continuity of accreditation in the rigorous standards according to the internationally recognized model. This certification is internationally recognized and confirms the compliance with operational safety standards and the best practices for organization and management (ORM), aircraft loading (LOD), passenger and baggage handling (PAB), aircraft cargo handling (HDL), aircraft handling management (AGM), as well as cargo and mail handling (CGM). The certification is valid for two years, with renewal scheduled for March 2025.
According to Groundforce Portugal safety and quality director Emanuel Taborda, "Achieving ISAGO certification once again is extremely important for our company, specially within our social and work environment. We are deeply committed to providing the highest level of service quality and safety standards to our customers and our workers. We proudly assume the fundamental role we play in the recovery of tourism and of the Portuguese economy, which is also due to the trust in our work".
ISAGO audit is also a powerful tool that streamlines internal procedures by establishing a uniform set of standards. Additionally, this assessment focuses on management and monitoring systems implemented at the headquarters of the ground handler, as well as operational consistency throughout the company’s geographies.
Although Groundforce Portugal has been certified since 2007, achieving this certification each year is always an important milestone in its commitment to safety, while promoting a consistent safety culture through systematic processes, training, and leadership.
