RIGA, Latvia – Dec. 15, 2021 – FBO Riga business aviation center located at Riga International Airport (RIX) in Latvia has confirmed IS-BAH Stage 2 accreditation after successfully passing an audit by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC). This reaffirms FBO RIGA's commitment to highest standards of safety and quality of services for its passengers and aircraft handling.
IS-BAH is the global industry standard for business aviation ground handlers developed by the International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) in cooperation with the National Air Transportation Association (NATA). It is a set of industry best practices that features at its core a safety management system. IS-BAH meets ICAO requirements and global practices, including the safety management system (SMS) requirements.
Roman Starkov, co-owner of FBO Riga, is pleased with the results of the audit: “To confirm compliance with IS-BAH Stage 2 requirements, we again passed an audit of our management systems, security procedures, organizational structure, training protocols and operational processes. This is a detailed audit that takes several months. As of December 2021, nearly 200 organizations in the world have received IS-BAH certificates, including 61 organizations that are located in Europe. FBO Riga remains the only holder of IS-BAH certificate in the Baltic States.
FBO Riga earned IS-BAH Stage 1 registration in 2017, followed by IS-BAH Stage 2 accreditation in 2019.
