GLS-NAS Renews Commitment to Ground Handling Safety and Quality in Liberia
National Aviation Services (NAS), joint venture in Liberia, GLS-NAS has successfully renewed its IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) certification for operations at the Roberts International Airport for a second time. The GLS-NAS operations in Monrovia are accredited for Organization and Management (ORM), Load Control (LOD), Aircraft Handling and Loading (HDL), Aircraft Ground Movement (AGM) as well as Cargo and Mail Handling (CGM). GLS-NAS, serves seven airline customers, handling approximately 160 flights each month in Liberia and is one of seven NAS stations to be ISAGO accredited.
The ISAGO is an internationally recognized audit program for assessing safety management and control systems for ground handling service providers. Based on industry-proven quality audit principles, ISAGO follows a stringent and structured process that reviews training, management system policies, processes and procedures, etc.
Globally, NAS has a presence in more than 60 airports, handling seven out of the world’s top 10 airlines and operating more than 50 airport lounges across the Middle East, Asia, and Africa. As the company grows its presence across the globe, it also continues to drive efforts towards maintaining the highest levels of safety and quality in all operations. With this goal, the company aims to have all its stations accreditation in due course.
