The strengthened partnership will allow Alha, Cargolux and Cargolux Italia to provide even more effective and competitive solutions for the Italian market.

Alha and Cargolux play a key role in the Italian and international air cargo industry. The signing of a contract for ramp handling services at Malpensa Airport will allow Alha, Cargolux and Cargolux Italia to provide even more effective and competitive solutions for the Italian market.

The one-stop-shop model adopted by Alha, Cargolux and Cargolux Italia for ramp handling services ensures integrated control of shipments, from the warehouse to loading onto the aircraft and vice versa.

This synergistic approach results in a significant reduction in transit times, greater operational coordination, and optimized management of special-cargo products, which require dedicated procedures, strict timing, high safety standards, and temperature control.

“Cargolux is pleased to be expanding its long-standing partnership with Alha. Over the years, both companies have developed a solid and trustworhty working relationship fostering growth on both sides. We look forward to further enhancing our services in the region with this new chapter," said Johannes Bruijs, Cargolux’s senior vice president Global Logistics.

“Cargolux Italia and Alha have forged a robust relationship over the years and we are happy to embark on this new journey with them. We look forward to working together to enhance customer experience in the region,” said Lorenzo Romano, Ground Operations & Security Manager for Cargolux Italia.

"Over the past three decades, our partnership with Cargolux and Cargolux Italia has been crucial to our success and growth in the air cargo industry. We are excited to further strengthen this collaboration and continue serving the market with advanced and reliable logistics solutions. This new phase of our partnership represents a significant step towards greater efficiency and superior quality service for the cargo sector at one of Europe's most strategic airports," said Lorenzo Schettini, president of Alha Group.

The collaboration between Alha and Cargolux began back in 1995 when Alha started handling off-airport services for the Luxembourg carrier in Italy. Since then, the partnership has grown and strengthened over the years, expanding to include not only airport services but also road transport and off-airport handling, an activity that holds significant importance for Cargolux and Cargolux Italia at the Alha mega hub in Milan-Truccazzano.
