International ground handling, aircraft fuel supply and logistics service provider Baltic Ground Services (BGS) has announced the extension of its contract with the Freebird Airlines, a leisure airline that has both Turkish and Maltese registrations. BGS will continue to supply aviation fuel to Freebird at Tallinn (Estonia), Kaunas (Lithuania) and Ostrava (Czech Republic) airports. The companies have extended their partnership for another year, with the new agreement having entered into force on April 1.

“We are excited to continue our collaboration with Freebird. Committed to providing the highest level of service to our customers, we look forward to delivering exceptional results for another year, and many years to come,” said Vitalis Dudys, the BGS Group’s head of commerce.

“Our long-standing partnership with BGS has given the company many opportunities to showcase their commitment to professionalism and quality. BGS has proven to be a trusted partner that delivers exceptional services timely and efficiently,” said Osman Kınalı, contracts manager at Freebird.

BGS and Freebird commenced their partnership in 2017, when BGS started providing the airline with into-plane fuelling services at Kaunas Airport. Last year, the companies also signed a 3-year agreement for ground handling services at Vilnius Airport in Lithuania.

Earlier this year, BGS renewed contracts for fuel supply with Wizz Air, Ryanair, and SkyUp Airlines.

BGS is part of the Avia Solutions Group – the world’s largest ACMI (Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance, and Insurance) provider, which operates a fleet of 212 aircraft. The Group’s companies also provide a variety of other aviation services, such as aircraft repair, pilot and crew training, and ground handling.
