Skytanking will begin services at VRN on behalf of Ryanair on Nov. 1, 2024, as part of a six-year agreement.

Skytanking Italy, a Skytanking Aviation Services company, was awarded the contract to provide above- and below-wing services for Ryanair at Verona Catulla Airport (VRN), including customer service, ramp service and cargo handling services support.

Skytanking will begin services at VRN on behalf of Ryanair, the largest carrier at the airport, on Nov. 1, 2024, as part of a six-year agreement. This is the third market awarded to Skytanking by Ryanair, following Aberdeen International Airport and Eindhoven Airport.

Skytanking successfully entered the market in Eindhoven and began serving Ryanair passengers in April 2024.

"This is an exciting step in the growth of our ground handling network," said Charles Galloway, SVP of ground handling for Skytanking Aviation Services. "We are appreciative of the confidence Ryanair has in our team, and we look forward to a smooth transition process as we enter the Italian market.”

Skytanking will assume up to 60 employees from Ryanair’s current provider under TUPE transfer regulations subject to consultations with the unions, staff, and according to Italian law.
