The GL1800 has a boom height reach of 42 feet while the ER2875 has a reach of 75 feet, which allows the USAF to de-ice the C5 ' C17 aircraft, especially the tail sections which are up to 65 feet high. Both units offer Enclosed Operator Cab, De-ice ' Anti-ice systems, Instant Heat and AirPlus! Forced Air Deicing System. The ER2875 offers an optional field kit and is available for quick change from enclosed cab to maintenance platform for year round utilization.
