The Vestergaard Elephant Beta deicers can be supplied with the PPS – Precise Positioning System. PPS helps constantly ensure the correct, optimal distance between the nozzle and aircraft - typically 1 meter, improving safety and reducing workload for the operator. With shorter spray distance, the highest possible ADF temperature can be kept, thereby maximizing energy transfer from fluid to aircraft. The optimal spray distance is typically 1 meter. Compared to a spray distance of 2 meters, the ADF temperature can be 10 to 40 degrees C higher.
