    For some years, hose beads or other accessories have been increasingly fitted on aircraft reel or deck hoses that have not been specifically developed for the use on the airfield. The Energy Institute has now released the new standard EI 1522 "Minimum Requirements for Aviation Fuelling Hose Accessories." ELAFLEX provides "BD" hose beads for aircraft refueling hoses that meet the standard.
