Cavotec has won several significant orders for its innovative ground support equipment for applications in the Middle East, India and Norway, emphasizing the extent of the group's technical expertise and geographical reach. The total value of these orders is more than EUR 13 million ($17.5 million).
Dubai International Airport
At Dubai International Airport, Cavotec will supply, install and commission a large number of PCA units, pop-up utility pits and 400 Hz electrical converters.
The equipment will be used to service aircraft at Dubai Airport's Concourse 4 expansion that will see the construction of 17 stands, four of which will serve large (MARS Code F) aircraft such as the Airbus A380.
Also at the airport's "Expo Area," Cavotec has won a follow-on order for PCA systems. Under the terms of this project, Cavotec Middle East will design, manufacture, install, test and commission PCA units.

Cavotec systems are already in operation at all three of Dubai's existing terminals.
Oslo Airport
In Norway, at Oslo Airport's Terminal 2 development, Cavotec will supply a substantial number of 400 Hz electrical power, PCA, drinking water and fueling in-ground pit systems, and associated equipment.
Cavotec will also commission the equipment prior to hand-over. Deliveries are due to be completed by September 2014.
The new terminal at Oslo Airport has been designed to handle the projected increase of travelers at the airport to 28 million annually in the near future.

India Air Force Base/Pune Airport
And in India, a rapidly growing market for Cavotec, the group is to manufacture and supply prefabricated military fuel hydrant pit assemblies, low point drain and high point vent assemblies for installation at an air base near New Delhi.
The systems will be used to fuel Boeing C-17 transport aircraft. The Indian Air Force has ten of these aircraft on order.
Cavotec will also provide installation and commissioning support for these systems. The group's customer on this project is technology, engineering, construction and manufacturing company Larsen & Toubro.
Cavotec has also secured two orders for prefabricated surge absorber and isolation pits as part of a hydrant refuelling system project at Pune Airport. Delivery of these systems is scheduled for December this year.
