JBT Corporation Awarded Order to Supply Jetway® boarding bridges, JetAire® conditioned air units, and Jetpower® ground power units to the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport

CHICAGO, May 2016, — JBT Corporation (NYSE: JBT) announced today the award of a multi-year, multi-phased contract for the supply of gate equipment to the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport. The contract is for the replacement of boarding bridges, pre-conditioned air units, and ground power equipment at concourses A, B, C, D, and T-South in Atlanta. Awarded in March 2016, the contract, from the City of Atlanta, through the Atlanta Airlines Terminal Corporation, calls for the supply of more than 80 boarding bridges and dozens of accompanying specialty air and power devices designed to service aircraft while parked at the gate. The Jetway® boarding bridges being supplied are of a corrugated steel design common to the Atlanta airport. Delivery of the bridges is expected to start July 2016 and wrap up October 2018.

JBT AeroTech President, David Burdakin, expressed enthusiasm for the new contract, “JBT’s broad product range in airport gate equipment positioned us well to provide a comprehensive, single-source equipment contract at the Atlanta airport.”

The JBT bridges, conditioned air equipment, and ground power units will be used by a number of tenant airlines. The majority of the gate equipment, supplied by JBT to the Atlanta airport for this contract, is designed to be integrated into existing central air-conditioning and ground power distribution networks. The remainder is point-of-use air and power equipment, providing the specified conditioned air and electrical capacity at or near the cab of the bridge. In both, distribution and point-of-used applications, the air and power equipment supplied by JBT allows the aircraft APU to be shut down while the aircraft is parked at the gate, saving millions of dollars and gallons of fuel each year. In addition to the gate equipment, JBT supplies a broad range of ground support equipment, such as tow tractors, loaders, and deicers into the Atlanta area.
