Jeff McCabe joined the new management team at Stinar in December 2019 at their new location in Blooming Prairie, Minn., announced Stinar CEO Craig Kruckeberg.
McCabe will concentrate on Stinar’s defense and military relationships; many of which have been in place for the past 40-plus years. Stinar produces aviation stairs (towable and chassis mounted), as well as catering lift trucks, lavatory service carts/trucks, potable water carts/trucks, various specialty lifts, platforms and vehicles – typically specified by the military.
McCabe is the former president of Minimizer, a leader in the heavy truck part industry, director of South Central College’s Center for Business and Industry and spent 16 years in management for Federated Insurance.
McCabe is a retired soldier, having served more than 22 years in the U.S. Army Reserves – including deployments to Desert Storm with elements of the 18th Airborne Corps, Haiti with elements of 3rd Special Forces Group as part of the United Nations Uphold Democracy Mission and in 2003 served with the 1st Cavalry Division in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
“McCabe’s a proven leader both in business and the military. We’re pleased to have him as our chief liaison for Stinar military contracts and after-the-sale customer support,” said Kruckeberg.
McCabe also leads a team to ensure all Stinar parts are available for quick shipment; even for equipment dating back 40-plus years.
“Our product has a reputation of lasting decades long; being able to get parts easily is a plus,” McCabe said. “We have shown the ability to manufacture these parts on nearly any piece of equipment dating back to the early days of Stinar.”
Stinar continues to add new state-of-the-art equipment to fulfill any parts requests that come through. Stinar recently completed a permanent facility move from Eagan, Minn., to Blooming Prairie; and the company is also in the process of re-designing much of its traditional product line.
McCabe said he’s excited to talk to military aviation ground support equipment users about the advantages of the redesigned line.
“Stinar equipment will always be built with features that make it reliable and nearly indestructible,” said McCabe.
McCabe lives in Blooming Prairie with his wife. He has two sons and three grandchildren.
