inter airport Europe Expands into Additional Hall as Demand for Stand Space Increases
inter airport Europe – a leading trade exhibition for the global airport industry – is gearing up for a strong return: With more than 95 percent of indoor space reserved or already booked, and still five months to go, show organizer RX has announced to open up additional floor space by expanding into Hall C6 of Munich Trade Fair Centre. The increase in demand underlines the growing confidence in airport suppliers amidst signs of a gradual recovery in air traffic.
Providing a powerful platform for business and innovation, inter airport Europe 2023 continues its 40-year success story as a unique and longstanding partner of the international airport community. Five months before the opening day, nearly 300 exhibitors from 30 countries have already secured their stand space, with new enquiries flying in on a daily basis. Leading the way are companies from Germany, Italy, the USA, the UK and Turkey.
Top Global Players Committed to Return, Alongside Pioneering Newcomers
The current exhibitor list reveals a spirit of innovation and renewal – a third of the booked exhibitors in 2023 were not present at the last edition, showing the renewed eagerness to connect with the show. Around 60 companies will be exhibiting for the first time, including major innovation drivers such as Canard Drones, Fenner Dunlop, Hubei Donghan Airport Equipment, Leidos and Swarco Roadmarking Systems. Some of the very top players will also be back after a step-down due to the pandemic, including Honeywell, Linde, SARSYS-ASFT, Cassioli, and TEC Hünert. They will join long-standing exhibitors such as ADB Safegate, ITW GSE, HiServ, CEIA, JBT AeroTech, Vanmac, Bulmor, Rittal, Siemens Logistics and other international brands.
Ground support and airfield equipment remain key segments of the inter airport Europe portfolio, with Miles GSE, Mulag, Bombelli, Timsan, Aviogei, Esterer and Denge taking up space in the exhibition halls to present their latest innovations for ramp and runway.
More than 70 percent of registered exhibitors come from outside Germany, reflecting the exceptional scope of the event across the global airport sector. Six National Pavilions are currently preparing for the show, representing companies from France, Italy, the UK, Finland and the DACH region of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. New at the show is the Spanish Pavilion, showcasing airport suppliers from the Iberian Peninsula.
Extensive Supporting Program Boosting Speaker Opportunities, Networking and Learning
In addition to the exhibition space, inter airport Europe 2023 will be hosting an important conference program and supporting events aimed at supporting the knowledge exchange and networking throughout the industry.
The popular 4-Day Seminar Program is an unparalleled opportunity for companies to promote their latest innovations, share expertise and easily connect with clients and peers. Three main topics will offer plenty of speaker slots in the subject areas of “Leading Terminal Technology”, “Disruptive Digital Innovations”, and “Cutting Edge Apron Insights”.
The co-located event inter airport FOCUS – The Sustainability Summit, will take place on Oct. 11-12, providing a real interactive meeting point for key aviation stakeholders to develop, discuss and initiate the implementation of sustainability solutions required to reach CO2 emission targets at airports. Part of the Summit, Airport City Academy will be running a one-day Training Course on Sustainable Airport Design, Construction & Finance – an intense learning experience where participants will benefit from helpful insights and guidance on how to successfully implement decarbonisation and climate adaption strategies at airports, including financing.
Amongst the many networking opportunities, the Hosted Buyer Program is specifically designed to plan valuable meetings for participants, ensuring a group of VIP buyers is available to meet with exhibitors.
This year again, the prestigious inter airport Europe Innovation Awards will celebrate the achievements of the inventors, pioneers and change-makers of exhibitors, putting the spotlight on technologies and partnerships that drive innovation and excellence for better airports.
“What makes the 2023 event special is the high level of anticipation and excitement about starting a completely new chapter in airport operations,” says Olaf Freier, portfolio director of inter airport Europe, “The recent pandemic and the climate crisis have created a strong momentum for change. Everyone involved in airport operations and planning has now switched into action mode, ready to discuss, promote and invest in change and innovation. Many technology suppliers will use this year’s event as an opportunity to position and support their brand on the global market as the industry moves on to more sustainable, efficient and flexible forms of air transport and travel. We are immensely proud to provide yet another milestone event to help promote pioneering advancements that will transform the way airports operate in the years to come.”
