The newest GSE Li-ion battery, with enhanced design features, leverages more than 35 years of experience in battery design and manufacture, including a decade focused on motive power solutions.
Li-ion batteries offer up to 98 percent electrical efficiency compared to the 80 percent efficiency of lead-acid batteries, making them a clear choice for heavy usage scenarios at airports. Traditional lead-acid battery technology, which has remained largely unchanged for nearly 200 years, is being outpaced by the modern advancements of Li-ion batteries.
Green Cubes’ Li-ion batteries offer a cycle life and charging profile that allows a single battery to pair with each piece of equipment for improved operational efficiency.

Green Cubes’ Li-ion battery utilizes a specialized chemistry, LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate), which offers significant benefits over traditional lead-acid and even other types of Li-ion batteries, with superior safety and cycle life.

Implementing Li-ion batteries in airport environments comes with specific challenges, such as exposure to the elements. Green Cubes Technology’s Li-ion batteries feature heaters designed to operate efficiently across a wide temperature range, ensuring reliability even in extreme conditions. Green Cubes’ batteries are engineered with IP54-designed battery control modules (BCMs) for robust performance and include advanced diagnostic tools and improved fuel gauge designs for stable tracking. Additionally, our solutions feature isolated CAN and USB interfaces, enhancing safety and reliability.
