SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- NVIDIA today announced that Bernard Charles, president and CEO of Dassault Systemes, will speak at NVISION '08. Charles is a highly-regarded pioneer in the field of industrial design and visual computing. Companies around the world use technology from Dassault Systemes to digitally design, simulate, and manage products from conception through production to maintenance. Charles will discuss megatrends in 3-D design when he speaks on Tuesday, August 26, in San Jose, Calif.
"It is an honor to have Bernard join us at NVISION '08," said Jen-Hsun Huang, president and CEO, NVIDIA. "Dassault Systemes' innovative work in modern 3D design and simulation is helping to solve complex problems across a range of industries -- from automotive to aerospace to life sciences -- while making 3-D tools available to more and more people. I look forward to hearing Bernard's insights into 'what's next' for creative professionals and end-user consumers."
Since becoming president of Dassault Systemes in 1995, Charles has expanded the company's reach beyond its roots in 3-D computer-aided design (CAD) to encompass the more strategic concept of product lifecycle management (PLM). In particular, Charles has been instrumental in the aviation industry's transition to designing aircraft digitally, without physical prototyping. Charles is also known for his contribution on a wide array of issues related to high-tech, including R&D, innovation, intellectual property, science, and education.
