USA 3000 Airlines will begin nonstop service from the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport to the Tampa area next month with flights to St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport.
Service is scheduled to begin Dec. 18 with fares as low as $69 each way.
"Cincinnati and the surrounding area have been a great market for USA 3000 over the past three years," Angus Kinnear, chief operating officer of the airline, said in a release about the expanded service The two-hour flight will leave Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky Tuesdays and Thursdays at 3:50 p.m. Return flights will depart St. Petersburg at 12:40 p.m. those two days.
USA 3000 is the only low-cost carrier operating at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky.
The airline, headquartered in Newtown Square, Pa., began operations here in 2002 with twice-weekly flights to Cancun, Mexico, and later expanded with flights to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, and Fort Myers, Fla.
