Air Canada said on 28 November that from 1 May 2008, it will launch a daily year-round, direct service between Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada, and Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
Daniel Shurz, the vice president of network planning, said this will be the only direct service between the two capital cities. From 1 May 2008, Air Canada Jazz flight AC8618 will fly from Ottawa to Charlottetown, while Air Canada Jazz flight AC8619 operate the return. All flights will be operated with a 50-seat Bombardier CRJ aircraft.
