Nov. 15--An airplane cleaner is accused of offloading a shipment of cocaine and marijuana from a plane at Miami International Airport.

Phillip Wayne Marquis has pleaded not guilty to two felony drug-trafficking charges and faces trial on Feb. 4, according to court records.

Marquis, 41, is an American Airlines fleet-service clerk whose job is to clean plane cabins, airline spokesman Tim Wagner said Thursday.

"We're cooperating with authorities as they investigate the situation," Wagner said.

Marquis was arrested Oct. 20 and booked into the North Miami-Dade Jail, records show.

Police on Thursday were working on a Miami Herald request to obtain a copy of the official incident report.
