Horizon Air resumes seasonal flights

Horizon Air reported plans to resume seasonal flights to three popular ski resorts for the winter and also add more flights or larger aircraft on several other routes.

The carrier said that flights will be added using a combination of 74/76-seat Q400 turboprops and 37-seat Q200 turboprops.

Schedule increases include, from 15 December, to Sun Valley: one daily Q400 flight to/from both Los Angeles and Oakland through 5 April. Sun Valley is served year-round with direct service from Seattle.

Also from 15 December, for Kamloops, BC, Canada: one daily Q400 flight to/from Seattle through 5 April to accommodate travel to the Sun Peaks ski resort; and for Kelowna, BC: four daily Q400 flights to/from Seattle replacing four daily Q200 flights to accommodate travel to Big White and Silver Star ski resorts. The route will return to four daily Q200 flights on 6 April.
