The United States and the Republic of Colombia have made an agreement for the expansion and liberalisation of their civil aviation relations.

The two countries said that from 1 October, this agreement is set to expand opportunities and contacts. Under the terms of the new agreement, roughly two years in the making, airlines may provide unlimited scheduled passenger service to the Colombian cities of Cartagena and Barranquilla.

The agreement will also boost the number of scheduled weekly frequencies to other destinations from 70 to 91. Additionally, it will also see an expansion of charter opportunities.
