Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) has announced it is to reduce its leisure fares in approximately 60% of nonstop US domestic markets served from Cincinnati.
The airline said that, on average, the reductions offer customers 20% savings on advance-purchase leisure fares to destinations from Cincinnati including select cities in Florida, the Northeast and along the West coast.
The majority of Delta's alternations have been made to the lowest fares available in select markets with an average fare reduction of approximately USD80 round-trip, based on a round-trip purchase, or 20% off previously available fares.
In addition Delta has made larger fare reductions on flights to close-in destinations such as Dayton, Lexington and Indianapolis, with new 21-day advance purchase fares starting from USD199 round-trip and discounted walk-up fares starting at USD199 one-way.
