Frontier Airlines (Nasdaq:FRNT) has announced that D Dale Browning has been appointed chairman of the board of Frontier Airlines Holdings Inc, following a special election held by the board after Frontier's annual shareholders' meeting on 6 September.
Browning has served in various capacities on the board of Frontier Airlines Holdings since 1996, including chairman of the Compensation Committee and chairman of the audit committee for the last four years. He will take over the new role from board chair Sam Addoms, who announced his retirement earlier in the year.
Browning joined Colorado National bank in 1966 and served as president and chief executive officer from 1985 until 1992, when the bank was acquired by US Bank.
Browning served as president of Rocky Mountain Bank Card Systems, at the same time as serving at Colorado National, and was also founder and president of Plus System, which was integrated into Visa International in 1993. He served with Visa International for two years and later worked as CEO of corporate credit card transaction processing company Procard.
