Virgin America makes agreement for foreign-language in-flight entertainment

Start-up airline Virgin America has made agreements with TV JAPAN, Venevision International, KBS-America, TVB and Emphasis (Hong Kong) to supply in-flight programming in Japanese, Spanish, Korean, Mandarin and Cantonese.

According to the carrier, Virgin America's passengers will have access to the most foreign language films and television entertainment on any United States domestic airline. Virgin America launched service on 8 August and has previously made agreements with Disney, Fox, Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Terry Steiner International and Warner Brothers for theatrical content.
