Crownair Aviation, a Montgomery Field Airport–based fixed base operator (FBO) and aircraft maintenance firm has appointed Kevin O’Donnell as company President.
O’ Donnell has more than 23 years of leadership and management experience in accounting, human resources, information systems and finance, garnered during his professional career. O’Donnell has served as Crownair’s Chief Executive Officer for the last three years and as Chief Financial Officer for the last eight.
Crownair Aviation, located at 3753 John J. Montgomery Drive, operates at San Diego’s Montgomery Field Airport as one of the most experienced and respected names in pressurized piston, turboprop and jet aircraft maintenance on the West Coast. Crownair Aviation is recognized for experienced aircraft technicians who provide superior customer satisfaction and was named one of the fastest growing companies by the San Diego Business Journal.
With more than 50 years of commitment to the aviation community, Crownair will benefit from O’Donnell’s strong tactical, technical and relational skills. O’Donnell will assist the company by taking full responsibility of all operating matters and will help lead the future planning and business development duties for the company as well. O’Donnell is a native of Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania and was raised in eastern Pennsylvania before moving to California. He graduated from Pacific Palisades High School and went on to earn a Humanities degree from the University of Southern California.
O’Donnell pursued graduate work at UCLA in accounting and business before becoming a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in California. He was a national award- winning instructor of the Becker CPA Review, and an affiliate of both the Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Through his work as an Accounting Manager for paint manufacturer and distributor, Frazee Industries, Inc., and later as a Director of Information Systems and Finance at the multi-million dollar sports trading card company Upper Deck, O’Donnell continued his professional growth.
