OTTAWA (CP) -- Nav Canada, the private company that provides Canada's civil air navigation services, said Friday it had reached a tentative deal with the Canadian Auto Workers on a new collective agreement for 350 of its workers.
The tentative agreement is for a four-year term beginning July 1, and ratification is expected to take place within the next month.
''I commend the bargaining teams for achieving a tentative agreement without third-party intervention,'' CEO John Crichton said in a release.
''Seven of the eight unions representing the Nav Canada employees now have agreements finalized, or in the process of being finalized, in the current round of bargaining.''
Nav Canada provides air traffic control, flight information, weather briefings, aeronautical information, airport advisory services and electronic aids to navigation.
