Boston Airport Makes Passenger Orientation Improvements

Boston-Logan will incorporate the airport's Terminal D as an integral part of Terminal C.

Boston-Logan will incorporate the airport's Terminal D as an integral part of Terminal C. As Terminal D has only three gates it is viewed by customers more as an annex to Terminal C than a dedicated terminal and therefore the Port Authority will redesignate it.

Terminal D is currently used by budget carrier Air Tran.

"This is part of a wider effort to assist passengers to navigate throughout the airport," said Port Authority Aviation Director Thomas Kinton Jr. "Customer surveys indicate that a more efficient and understandable terminal layout would make trips to the airport easier and more customer friendly."

In 2007 Boston's International Gateway will be designated the new Terminal D.

A new way-finding programme will result in over 200 signs being removed and replaced.
