MANCHESTER, N.H. (AP) -- Federal and state authorities investigated a ''suspicious'' package that a cleaning crew found aboard a US Airways plane early Friday morning, but no flights were delayed as a result.
Airport spokesman Brian O'Neill said cleaners found the package shortly after 1 a.m. on US Airways Flight 932, from Philadelphia. The plane was empty when it arrived and was scheduled to pick up passengers bound for Washington, D.C., later that morning.
The Londonderry Police hazardous materials unit ran initial tests on the package, which were negative. O'Neill said the state police bomb squad was called to the airport as a precaution.
State police also will run tests on the package, which will take about three days.
The airport was not evacuated and flights were running on schedule.
