PORT-OF-SPAIN, Trinidad (AP) -- An unruly passenger forced a commercial airliner flying from Canada to Argentina to divert to Trinidad on Wednesday, officials said.
Air Canada's Flight 094 left Toronto and was on its way to Buenos Aires when ''the pilot elected to divert to Port-of-Spain airport due to a disruptive passenger,'' spokesman John Reber said from the airline's headquarters in Montreal.
He said Trinidadian authorities met the plane and took the passenger into custody. Reber would only describe the passenger as a man traveling alone, and said no one was injured during the incident.
He said the plane left Trinidad at 8:30 a.m. (12:30 p.m. GMT) and was expected to arrive in Buenos Aires at 4 p.m.
